Introduction

In 2022, I had the opportunity to launch and lead the Unwrapped Digital Event Series for Mobile World Live, an industry-leading content platform associated with GSMA. This was more than just a webinar series—it was a large-scale, high-impact digital event experience, bringing together top executives, analysts, and industry thought leaders from the telecom world.

With a multi-channel digital marketing strategy, live broadcast production, and cross-industry collaboration, Unwrapped quickly became a premier virtual destination for insights and discussions on the future of mobile technology.

The Vision: Creating a High-Impact Digital Event Series

The goal of Unwrapped was clear: to provide an immersive, content-driven experience for professionals in telecom and mobile technology. Unlike traditional webinars, this was designed as a broadcast-quality event series featuring exclusive industry insights, executive interviews, and in-depth discussions across topical mobile categories.

My Role: Strategy, Execution & Brand Positioning

As the Lead Strategist and Marketing Director, I was responsible for every aspect of launching and scaling Unwrapped, including:

  • Branding & Positioning – Developed the series' identity, messaging, and market positioning to establish credibility and engagement.

  • Digital Marketing & Advertising – Created an integrated digital marketing campaign across social media, GSMA networks, affiliate websites, and email marketing.

  • Content Creation & Production – Worked with TV anchors, publishers, interviewers, and producers to craft compelling session content.

  • Live Broadcast Execution – Partnered with Smart Digital (film production company) to produce high-quality live recordings and studio interviews.

  • Speaker & Talent Coordination – Managed interviews with top executives, industry leaders, and analysts to deliver best-in-class insights.

  • CRM & Lead Management – Integrated lead generation tools and CRM systems to track audience engagement and maximize marketing impact.

Behind the Scenes: Bringing Unwrapped to Life

One of the most exciting aspects of this project was the on-location live shoots. Highlights included:

  • Live from The Shard, London – A high-profile segment featuring TV presenter Sasha Twining and exclusive executive interviews.

  • Behind the Scenes in the Unwrapped Studio – Coordinating live interviews with special guests, ensuring seamless production and real-time digital engagement.
